After obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Mazhar completed his internal medicine residency with Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.  Wanting to further his training, he completed his Hepatology and Liver Transplantation Fellowship with Baylor College of Medicine and his Gastroenterology Fellowship with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He is dual certified both in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. To stay up to date in his field he remains a professional member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
